Veteran Tutors Sound Studio

Veteran Tutors' sound studio is designed to help students acquire the foundational knowledge and skills they will need for producing professional-quality sound recordings. We believe our task is not so much to teach as to help students actively learn for themselves. These projects help students 'learn by doing' and quickly advance to more challenging tasks.

Projects

The sound projects listed below have been lab-tested with middle school students:

• Soundtrack. Students learn to record, edit and produce an MP3 music soundtrack using Audacity editing and sequencing tools. Students learn basic concepts of sound production and how to apply them. This is our introduction to sound production. (~90 minutes).
